Revision of Bylaws |
The Bylaws of the South Texas Library System (STLS) and its proposed revisions may be found at www.stls.lib.tx.us/bylaws2010.pdf . There are several major changes in the Bylaws. • Membership will be open to all libraries in STLS (public, academic, school, private). • Member libraries may be represented by either a lay or a library representative. • The size and make up of the Advisory council could change if other types of libraries join STLS. These changes in the STLS Bylaws reflect the changes in the Library Systems Act passed during 81st Legislative Session and the subsequent changes made in the Rules for Administering the Library Systems Act www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/pubs/libsysact/libsysact.html.
Voting will be done electronically. Please contact Alice Nixon
